To implement the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", the State Environmental Protection Department recently launched the "Environmental Labeling Product Technical Requirements of the plastic packing system," the preparation.The new standard by the Ministry of Environmental Protection Science and Technology Standards Division to develop, apply to China's environmental labeling product certification.

The new standard put forward for plastic packaging machines, raw materials, production processes, degradation properties, bio-carbon content, printing, labeling machine and storage requirements. The name of the original standard is defined as "packaging products", and with the plastic packaging in the packaging industry occupies an increasingly important position, the new standard proposed to name the "plastic packaging products". The scope of the lock in the plastic packaging category, and plastic packaging products for the scope of the provisions: for plastic as the main material made of film, bags and packaging containers.

Compared to the old version of the "environmental labeling products, technical requirements for packaging products" (HJ / T209-2005), the new standard major changes include:

• Adjusted the standard name and scope of application;

• Increase the raw materials and production process requirements;

• Adjust the degradable products degradation index requirements;

• Deleted the original easy-to-recyclable packaging;

• Increased the non-degradable products of biological substrate content and burning requirements;

• Increase the requirements of heavy metals in products;

• Adjusted product identification and storage requirements.
